Aris and the Art of Parkour Bhangra-Fu tells the story of Aris, who one day, stumbles upon a thief in his apartment. Aris anxiously runs after the thief, only to be lured to competitive territory, where the thief's counterpart, Maimou of the Monkey style, is patiently waiting. Unrelentingly, Aris, also known as the God of War, battles the two foes that put his name to the test.
Aris is a throwback to the hay-days of Hong Kong action cinema mixed with real gritty 21st Century independent filmmaking. Shot entirely on location in Astoria, Queens, Aris combines the elements of worldly acoustic and visual pleasures. Physically told through a mix of Parkour (French style free-running), and Hong Kong-style choreography, combined with the sounds of Greek, Arabic, and Indian music, Aris and the Art of Parkour Bhangra-Fu is unlike anything you've ever seen...or heard.
The musical score was produced by Richard Khuzami and Dahdoo Productions with musicians stemming from around the globe, featuring Dimitrios Hatzisavas, Richard Khuzami, Rachid Halilal, Maurice Chedid, Rameses, and John Anastasopoulos.
